My Trip To Kerala With Thrillophilia

August 1, 2022

Kerala is often referred to as “God’s own country” by locals. Peaceful backwaters give way to vivid rainforests and tropical jungles in India’s most southern state, which are teeming with wildlife and spice farms. It’s a mysterious little paradise removed from anything the typical set of travel guides frequently connect with India and the country’s north. My wife and I made the decision to travel to this amazing location because we wanted to take a vacation from the bustle of the city and spend some time unwinding and revitalising our spirits.

Everything seemed too exciting, whether it was the breathtaking scenery or the delectable food. Therefore, I also wanted to make sure that our trip to Kerala was properly organised. When my friend first mentioned reviews of thrillophilia, I immediately checked the website. The possibility of having my vacation package tailored definitely appealed to me, so I quickly contacted the team. It goes without saying that Thrillophilia meticulously organised our vacation and we had a great time!

Day 1: Arrival in Kochi

Cochin was where we started our journey through Kerala. We were greeted at the airport by our agent after arriving in Kochi. The representative aided in our transfer to Munnar, a region renowned for its tea plantations, sloping valleys, rolling hills, and picture-postcard hamlets. We stopped at the gushing Valara and Cheyyappara waterfalls on the way to Munnar and got some really stunning photos there. In order to comprehend what it takes to brew the ideal cup of tea, we also visited the tea gardens.

We saw a number of Cochin’s well-known landmarks on the first day of our vacation, including St. Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace, a Jewish synagogue, and Chinese fishing nets. We were astounded by the incredible Hindu art that was on display in this well-known Portuguese palace called Mattancherry. The Jewish Synagogue displaying the priceless antiquities was another pleasant surprise. Later, we were driven back to the hotel in a cleaned vehicle and we loved the ride. We then enjoyed the remainder of the day at our leisure just like the Thrillophilia Reviews told us earlier. We took a trip through the markets and adjacent areas in the evening to take in the beauty of the area.

After that, we went for a lovely dinner. South Indian cuisine is something that my wife and I particularly enjoy, so trying it in the “Land of Spices” was a huge surprise to us. There, the meal was richly flavoured with ingredients like tamarind, mustard seeds, curry leaves, turmeric, and chillies. We withdrew to our hotel rooms after dinner and went to sleep!

Day 2: Munnar Sightseeing

We left the hotel after a delicious breakfast and began our journey to visit Munnar. We visited spice plantations, inhaled the scent of traditional Indian spices, and enjoyed some quality downtime next to the gushing waterfalls at Valara and Cheyyappara. Following that, we went to the tea gardens to learn how to create the ideal cup of tea. Due to its location at the meeting point of three mountain streams, Echo Point is one Munnar attraction that should not be missed. I adored Eravikulam National Park because it showcases the variety of flora and fauna and is recognised by UNESCO as a world heritage site. The Mattupetty Lake and Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, and Blossom Garden were some of the picturesque postcard locations we visited while taking in the beauty of Rajamalai National Park’s remoteness.

The trip we took to Munnar was fantastic. A trip to Munnar is an adventure all on its own. The region is well-known for its tea estates, which we thoroughly investigated both on our free day and during the Munnar sightseeing tour. We were captivated by the natural vantage points because it is situated at the meeting point of three river streams. I wished we could have remained longer because it was such a lovely getaway from our everyday lives. After that, we went back to our hotel for a goodnight’s sleep.

Day 3: Departure Day

It’s finally the time to head back to our home with a plethora of memories. So, the next morning, after packing our bags and enjoying a really delicious breakfast at the hotel, we were ready to leave for Kochi. We stopped for sightseeing at Marine Drive and the Cochin Fort on the way to the airport as prior travellers had shared in their Thrillophilia Reviews.

We had a lovely and relaxing time travelling across Kerala, and we had many special experiences. We made many memories on our trip that we will treasure for years to come, and I am happy that we booked our package with Thrillophilia because the advice their representative provided before booking the package was quite helpful to us. I look forward to more adventures like this!
